Travelocity founder Terry Jones makes a smart business move
Smart Destinations Inc., announced Terry Jones has joined its Board of Directors. The Travelocity Founder and Internet luminary brings decades of travel experience, deep technical understanding, and unique expertise on the confluence of travel and the Internet consumer.

Jones, currently managing principal of consulting firm Essential Ideas, founded Travelocity and led the company as president and CEO from its launch until 2002. An experienced board member, Jones has served on the boards of Travelocity, Overture Services, Vendare, Inc and Entrust, Inc, and now serves on the boards of directors of EarthLink Inc., Rearden Commerce, Inc., and is chairman of Kayak.com. Before Travelocity, Jones served as CIO at Sabre Inc. and prior to that was a division president at American Airlines.
