Travelocity names Europe head

Saturday, 12 Oct, 2004 0

Travelocity has appointed one of its own directors to head up its European business.

Damon Tassone, previously senior vice president of distribution at Travelocity, takes the London-based role of president of Travelocity Europe after it was vacated by Dirk Hauke. Mr Hauke moved to the Otto Group, a Germany-based partner of Travelocity.

Earlier this month Travelocity took the remaining 50% stake in its European joint venture with the exception of the German businesses, which continues to be part-owned by the Otto Group.

Mr Tassone will report to Travelocity chief executive Michelle Peluso. Ned Booth will continue to run the UK business.
