Travelport secures Etihad distribution deal

A five-year distribution pact has been sealed between Etihad Airways and Travelport.
The full content agreement will provide travel agents connected to Galileo and Worldspan worldwide with access to all of the Abu Dhabi-based airline’s published flights and fares.
The carrier’s chief of strategy and planning Wayne Pearce said: “As a rapidly-expanding airline, we are delighted to have reached a cost-effective distribution agreement with Travelport that will see all our published flight inventory and fares made available to its extensive network of travel agency users worldwide.”
Travelport GDS airline development vice president EMEA Matthew Hall said: “We are proud to have reached a mutually beneficial agreement with Etihad Airways that demonstrates the continued value of the travel agency channel and builds on our successful track record of reaching full content deals with flag carriers across the globe.”
