Traveltek expands North America business development team
Fast growing UK based B2B travel tech provider Traveltek Group has expanded its team in North America.
To meet demand it has hired four business development managers to support its ambitious growth strategy.
Kevin Walker, Ivonne Turcios and Yenedi Perez will be based at the US headquarters in Miami and Clarice Bongolan will work out of Los Angeles.
All four BDMs have gained extensive cruise and leisure travel sales experience and will support the needs of new and existing clients in a competitive market.
"We have witnessed strong industry demand for technology that improves speed to market, supports a multi-channel approach to business and increases reach and distribution at a time when the Tours and the Cruise sectors are demonstrating exponential growth potential," said senior vice president of sales, Francis Riley, who hand-picked each of the new BDMs.
"Kevin, Ivonne, Yenedi and Clarice join the Americas business at a very exciting time for Traveltek and the travel industry and I wish them every success."
Ivonne Turcios has 22 years’ experience in travel based in South Florida, and was most recently in sales and business development roles with Amadeus.
Yenedi Perez worked in sales and business development roles at major cruise lines including Royal Caribbean International and Norwegian Cruise Line, and Clarice Bongolan brings experience as a luxury travel advisor at Kontiki Tours in Los Angeles and for major travel media titles including Lonely Planet.
Kevin Walker joined Traveltek in 2013 as project manager based at the company’s global headquarters in the UK.
"Traveltek’s timing could not be better as companies across the Americas look to leverage increased cruise line capacity, attract more new-to-cruise clients and grow their tours business to meet traveler demand," said Riley.
The North America expansion adds to a sustained period of growth for Traveltek which has seen its global footprint expand with new regional offices in the Middle East and Asia.
