Travelzest launches tailor-made long-haul website
Online travel group, Travelzest, has launched a new website offering tailor-made holidays in the Far East, Middle East, Indian Ocean, South Pacific and South America.
Called Faraway Holidays, every destination in the portfolio will have been visited by at least one member of the sales team.
Holidays will be promoted via a new website www.farawayholidays.co.uk being fully launched later this year.
Faraway Holidays will offer a selection of pre-planned holiday packages, including scheduled flights with airlines, private transfers and breakfast.
The sales team will be led by David Oak, who has over 40 years experience in the travel industry, working with Swan Tours, P&O and TUI UK.
Oak ran his own company for 20 years, Air Ticket Centres and Air Travel Centres, specialising in air travel and long-haul holidays. He sold this to TUI UK in August 1999, where he stayed to set up THG Holidays, offering holidays to the Far East and other long-haul destinations.
David will be joined by two well-established travel professionals Gavin Oak and Paul Evans.
The project has and will continue to be internally funded and is likely to be profitable within its first full financial year.
Commenting on the new venture, Chris Mottershead, Travelzest’s chief executive, said: “To date Travelzest has acquired existing businesses, however, our strategy is about addressing demand for specialist holidays and we will explore all opportunities that add specific niches to our offering.
“David and his team have been working in the travel industry for many years and have extensive knowledge and experience of these exotic destinations. It can be particularly hard to gather information on distant places and Faraway Holidays will cater for travellers who value specialist advice on the facilities and activities available to help plan their ideal holiday.”
