TripAdvisor acquires menu management firm
TripAdvisor, Inc has bolstered its restaurant B2B product portfolio with a new acquisition.
It announced the purchase of menu management company SinglePlatform from Endurance International Group.
SinglePlatform helps restaurants get discovered by new customers online.
It allows dining businesses to publish and manage their menus and keep them updated across all main search and discovery sites like Google and Facebook.
It says 93% of guests check out menus online before choosing where to dine.
Once integrated TripAdvisor will offer the menu and listings management services to restaurant owners.
"SinglePlatform’s strength in the United States combined with TripAdvisor’s global reach and advertising platform for restaurants positions our combined team to offer more solutions for owner-operators and multi-location brands," said Josh Glantz, senior vice president and general manager, SinglePlatform.
TripAdvisor says it has more than five million restaurants listed on its platform.
Bertrand Jelensperger, senior vice president, TripAdvisor Restaurants said: "We are obsessed with making restaurateurs’ jobs easier and more successful, and our acquisition of SinglePlatform is an important step in offering them a place to conveniently manage their entire online presence."
