Triton has high hopes for 2007 conference after ‘disappointing’ ABTA
Triton is expecting its 2007 conference to attract 900 delegates, 250 more than attended its first conference last year.
It claims that high booking figures so far reflect disappointment after the last ABTA Convention in Marbella.
“The large percentage of agents booking, almost 65% of the total number of registered delegates, show that the Triton conference, in just one year of operation, has become the main conference for the retail sector as well as the industry as a whole,” said a Triton spokesman.
Being held at Vilamoura in Portugal from May 11-13, the conference theme is ‘Evolution’.
Registrations for the first month shows that 236 delegates have registered, including 151 being agents.
“The industry is looking for a fresh and innovative conference that delivers genuine business opportunities and we are proud that Triton has become that conference.” John Mc Ewan, director Triton.
