Trump’s golf courses got USD4 million in UK furlough aid

Donald Trump’s Scottish golf courses received over £3 million ($4 million) in UK government furlough support.
Trump’s resorts in Ayrshire and Aberdeenshire posted losses and reduced staff numbers.
Trump Turnberry recorded a loss of more than £3m in 2020, while Balmedie lost £1.3m.
The UK incorporated business Golf Recreation Scotland Ltd, which owns the Turnberry golf course and resort, saw turnover plunge by nearly two-thirds to £6.7m in 2020.
It had made a profit of £321,000 in 2019.
