TUI chief says mobiles are key to customer service

TUI Travel chief executive Peter Long believes mobiles are the key to improving customer service.

In his latest ViewPoint video entitled ‘Customers -Building a unique relationship’, Peter Long says, "Our relationship with our customers is mobile driven – we’re building a long term relationship."

He said the tour operator is using technology to satisfy customers’ needs anytime, anywhere, anyway.

TUI Travel has developed a new concept called the Digital Assistant, a mobile app which starts to plan your holiday from the moment you book, providing advice prior to departure, whilst on your holiday, and upon your return.

This tool claims to enable TUI Travel to build a personal relationship with clients, treating customers as individuals.
