TUI to switch Orlando airport
TUI is switching its Orlando operations from Sanford Airport to Orlando Melbourne International Airport from 2022.
TUI said the airport is investing millions of dollars in a terminal extension that will directly benefit its UK customers, with family-friendly features that ‘will allow customers to be entertained’.
Holidaymakers will be welcomed by a team of international ambassadors with a glass of fresh Florida orange juice and assisted with any onward arrangements.
The airport will also have concierge services, public and private transfer options and all major car hire companies.
Melbourne is on Florida’s Space Coast, a mile from beaches but around 70 miles east of downtown Orlando. Sanford, meanwhile, is around 28 miles from Orlando.
