Two Thomson reps ‘killed by drunk driver’

Wednesday, 08 May, 2006 0

Two Thomson holiday reps have been killed by a suspected drunken driver in Majorca.

Denise Marshall (45) from Cheshire and James Perry (19) from the West Midlands died after a 28-year-old Spaniard drove into them as they were crossing a main road in Alcudia in the early hours of Saturday, according to reports.

A local man was reportedly arrested after a breathalyser test.

The two reps had only arrived on the island a week previously to start working the summer season.

A Thomson spokesman was quoted as saying: “This is extremely sad and we extend our sympathies to the families of the victims.”
