Uber Balloon takes flight in Turkiye
Uber has taken off in a new way in Turkiye.
Uber Balloon has launched hot air balloon rides via Uber Reserve in Cappadocia, Turkiye.
Uber Balloon is one of the most unique rides to launch in the app.
Sunrise hot air balloon rides lasting 90 minutes depart from Göreme, Cappadocia, taking riders over the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Göreme National Park.
Riders will get to take in early dawn views at 3,000 feet in the air.
It can now be booked in-app using Uber Reserve.
Uber Balloon trips cost €150 per person, with 100 free flights available to celebrate the launch.
Uber Balloon launches just in time for hot air balloon season in Cappadocia with millions of people expected to visit during October and November.
Uber has seen a sharp increase in ridership across Turkiye this year.
International trips have risen by more than 30% and nearly 26 million people have taken a ride this year alone.
Uber partners with over 38,000 taxi drivers and operates in nine cities, including Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, as well as the top tourist destination Antalya.
Overall, the number of Uber rides have increased by 50% since 2022.
Uber Balloon is the latest tourist friendly transport options added to the app, following Uber Boat in Mykonos and Uber Sleigh in Lapland.
Flights, trains, coaches and hotels are all now available to book directly via the Uber app.
Anabel Diaz, Vice President, EMEA Mobility at Uber, said: “Turkiye is one of our most popular destinations and this is another way they can use our app to access a magical experience.”
Availability of Uber Balloon trips is limited and subject to weather conditions.
Riders are encouraged to book in advance using the Uber Reserve function in the app a minimum of 12 hours prior to departure.
The free hot air balloon rides will be limited to four people per day, until the offer expires on 19 November.

Balloon trip in Cappadocia is magical , however there are Large, & very large Balloons . Chose the smallest & the most experienced pilot . More expensive , however you will only do it once .
