Uganda Airlines launches new route to Abuja, Nigeria
Uganda Airlines has expanded service to Nigeria with new Abuja flights.
The new route to Nigeria’s Administrative Capital come a year after Uganda Airlines launched services to Lagos.
The new Abuja flights from Entebbe, which will be tagged to the existing service to Lagos, will operate twice a week on flagship Airbus A330-800neo aircraft.
“Abuja is now our 14th point as we embark on our expansion plan.” says Uganda Airlines CEO, Jenifer Bamuturaki.
“Abuja is our second destination in Nigeria. Its launch underscores our commitment to provide affordable air services to facilitate business and tourism.
According to international studies, Abuja is one of the most underserved markets in Africa.
Uganda Airlines’ new Abuja flight allows travellers from Nigeria’s central, northern, and northeastern regions to easily connect to services to Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Mombasa, Mogadishu, Mumbai, and Dubai, the airline says.
