UNESCO announces dozens of new heritage sites

UNESCO has voted to induct 33 new cultural and natural attractions to its list of World Heritage Sites with more likely to follow by the end of the week. Due to Covid last year’s session didn’t convene so members are reviewing nominations from 2020 and 2021.
Those making the list include Saudi Arabia’s ¤ima Cultural Area rock art the French seaside town of Nice, and spa towns including Františkovy Lzne in the Czech Republic and Bath, England. The Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales was also included.
