United Airlines is adding two more Florida routes from its hub in San Francisco.
United will reinstate direct flights to Miami from SFO beginning December 16, more than a decade after dropping the route.
Flights to Tampa will debut on February 16, 2017, United said.
Both routes will operate round trip once a day using Boeing 737 aircraft.
United says Tampa’s vibrant tech industry’s ties to Silicon Valley was the main reason for establishing the route.
"Tampa is fast becoming a center for technology and we wanted to connect the city with the largest city for technology," United’s managing director of domestic planning Jim Ferea told the Tampa Bay Times.
