United Airlines has reorganized its customer service operations and announced a key leadership appointment.
Kate Gebo has been named senior vice president of customer service delivery and will lead a newly integrated customer service unit overseeing all customer functions from booking to arrival.
"Our customers have told us they want a more consistent, positive experience, and bringing all of our people that serve customers daily into the same team ensures a great experience at every point in their travel," said United president Scott Kirby.
"Kate has been a key member of the leadership team and in her career at United has proven her ability to build strong, effective teams with an employee and customer focus."
Gebo reports to executive vice president and chief operations officer Greg Hart.
She has 20 years experience in the airline industry and most recently has been vice president in charge of the office of CEO Oscar Munoz.
