United Airlines scaling back India flights
United Airlines says it will cut back services to India as Covid infections continue to rise to unprecedented levels. United will pause Chicago – New Delhi flights during June and will push back the planned launch of flights to Bangalore from San Francisco.
India has recorded a mammoth 1.5 million new cases in just a week. Until June, United will use larger Boeing 777-300ER jets on the Chicago-Delhi route to speed up the repatriation between the two countries.
It will continue daily flights to Delhi from Newark and San Francisco, as well as Mumbai flights from Newark.
