United Airlines will launch a new daily Dublin-Chicago route from next year.
Beginning June 4, there will be one seasonal roundtrip service a day until August 17 between Chicago O’Hare and the Irish capital, expanding United’s transatlantic network to Ireland which includes services to Newark and Washington, DC.
Flights will be operated by 169-seat Boeing 757-200 planes.
"We’re delighted to expand our range of trans-Atlantic services from Ireland by linking Dublin with United’s home town, Chicago," said United spokesman Bob Schumacher.
"Together with our existing services to New York and Washington, DC, these flights will offer our customers in Dublin even more travel options to destinations throughout the Americas."
At the same time, United also announced plans for a Newark-Venice seasonal service starting the same day.
