United Airlines is launching seasonal nonstop flights to Key West from its Newark and Chicago hubs later this year.
A daily service will operate from Newark from December 16 through May 4, 2016.
A weekly Saturday service then takes off from Chicago beginning January 7 and runs through April 20.
Embraer 170 regional jets seating 70 will be deployed on both routes, United said.
They will be the only direct flights to Key West from both airports.
While United has only agreed to commit to one season so far, Don DeGraw, Monroe County director of airports, owner of Key West, says he expects United to stick around for the long term.
They put a lot of resources into this route, Their intent is to stay here for a long time," DeGraw said.
Tickets for both routes are now live on United.com.
