United Airlines is finally joining its main rivals with the introduction of a premium economy cabin.

It will launch a new United Premium Plus cabin on ‘select international flights’ from later this year.

Few details have been disclosed yet but will include meals served on china, free alcoholic drinks, and an amenity kit, along with more legroom.

It also comes with a Saks Fifth Avenue blanket and pillow.

United which is playing catch up to stay competitive, touts ‘more space, comfort and amenities’ for the product.

Both Delta Air Lines and American Airlines have announced new premium economy cabins on long haul services in the past two years while many full-service carriers in Europe and Asia have been selling premium economy for a long time.
