Soon after eliminating free pretzels, Northwest went after another juicy cost-cutting target: free magazines.
No more in-flight magazines, the airline says.
The move is expected to save the carrier about $565,000 a year, according to a spokesman.
What’s next?
Possibly skycap service. Northwest has proposed charging $2 for that service.
The airline is following moves by United, which has tried the fee in a handful of cities.
