Airports and ports were told to lookout for a double killer being hunted by police following a fatal stabbing.
Hotels, guest houses and hoteliers were also warned to be "vigilant" as the police launched a nationwide hunt for 55-year-old Ian John McLoughlin.
The man, who police wanted to question following the death of Graham Buck, 66, in a village in Hertfordshire on Saturday, has since been arrested.
He is being questioned by police in Hertfordshire.
