US developing ‘new system’ for international travel

The US Administration is working on a ‘new system for international travel’ but there are no immediate plans to ease entry restrictions. A new system would include contact tracing.
White House coronavirus response coordinator Jeff Zients told the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board that officials are mulling ‘vaccination requirements for foreign nationals.’ Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said the continued toll from the Delta variant surge is preventing the immmediate lifting of inbound travel restrictions.
