US warns of more attacks against Americans
Associated Press reports that U.S. embassies in seven countries are issuing warnings about anti-American protests and possible violence to Americans today after a mob attack in Libya on September 11 left Christopher Stevens, the U.S.. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans dead.
Experts are saying that the Libyan attacks were planned by jihadist cells far in advance of any news about a controversial film on Muhammad said to be the cause of the mob violence.
U.S.. Embassies issuing warnings include: Armenia, Burundi, Egypt, Kuwait, Sudan, Tunisia and Zambia.
In Egypt, the American Citizen Services offices were set to be closed on September 13 due to possible demonstrations and the threat of violence. The Embassy characterizes the situation as "fluid."
