USAirtours invests in new technology platform in order to “enhance service to the trade”
USAirtours, a leading specialist tour operator and wholesaler to North America for over 25 years, has revealed plans to deploy the Dolphin technology platform.
The roll-out will see 35 USAirtours sales consultants using Dolphin’s reservation and booking management modules to sell and manage travel itineraries. And to radically streamline the process of preparing and confirming hundreds of quotes a day to independent travel agents. Dolphin will also power a new online booking tool that will allow agents to transact online for the first time via the USAirtours website.
USAirtours Founder and CEO, Guy Novik said, “We reached a point where we simply had to invest in more advanced technology to cope with our substantial growth plans and to improve the great service we already offer to the trade. After an extensive search we selected Dolphin due to its comprehensive functionality and because of the alignment between Dolphin Dynamics’ product development strategy and our own ambitious business plans.”
The Dolphin solution includes a flight allocation module enabling USAirtours to manage contracted allocations and pricing for the company’s directly negotiated airfares. With results presented in a unified display alongside GDS-sourced flights. Dolphin will also provide links into 3rd-party accommodation and car rental suppliers, as well as all of USAirtours own hotel and villa allocations.
Roberto Da Re, President at Dolphin Dynamics added, “We’re delighted that a highly established travel company such as USAirtours has selected Dolphin Dynamics as its technology partner. With more than 10 independent tour operators having already committed to deploying Dolphin so far this year, our entry into the tour operator sector has been fully endorsed and is now our fastest growth area”.
