Vaccine passports will be mandatory for nightclubs
Vaccines Minister Nadhim Zahawi said the government will press ahead with vaccine passports for large venues and nightclubs. It is expected to be enforced by the end of September. That would be after all 18-year-olds get the opportunity to be fully vaccinated.
The plan has being criticised by MPs of both parties as well as nightlife and event promoters. The minister cited measures at Premier League football stadia which have introduced Covid passport checks for fans.
