Las Vegas is highlighting its cultural side in a bid to attract a different type of visitor.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is using World Travel Market to showcase the Downtown area, which houses the Smith Center for Performing Arts as well as several museums.
The tourist board says established venues are also vying to attract more ‘cultured’ visitors.
For example, world class artists are regularly shown at the Venetian hotel, while the Bellagio is exhibiting Warhol Out West until January 2, 2014.
Several new hotels and resorts are due to open within the next few months – such as the Delano and the LINQ, a $500 million retail, dining and entertainment district – as well as new eateries including the Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill.
