Ventura, BCD Italy Partner, with TravelStoreMaker.com to launch TravelGood.it an e-commerce B2B and B2B2C platform for the retail agency market
Ventura, licensee of BCD Travel brand for the Italian market, with the leading online travel technology provider TravelStoreMaker.com to provide low-cost e-commerce capability to its network of more than 800 agencies in Italy.
The platform operates under the brand name Travelgood.it. By signing up to Travelgood.it, the agencies will be able to offer flights, hotels, rental-cars and packages to their customers on their own website and branded with their look and feel as well as using the platform as a B2B solution and replace the use of the GDS. With the B2B web application, agents will use the platform which will provide significant savings on the service time and training costs as it is user friendly and in Italian and has search functionalities which are not provided by the GDS’s. The B2C application will allow agencies to sell their travel offerings online and turning their websites into fully serviced Online Travel Agencies able to compete against the big players.
The basic sign-up package starts at only Eur 250, which is affordable for everyone in the business and represents a very low investment in times of global crisis. Some of the benefits that come with it are the replacement of traditional GDS terminals in agencies’ offices, ability to sell all GDS participating airlines together with over 40 low cost carriers, smart fares construction searching one way fares in low cost & traditional carriers and creating a roundtrip; More than 300,000 hotels worldwide coming from over 25 providers including Booking.com, Hotels.com, GTA and others and offered independently and in combination with flights and rental cars.
‘With the launch of TravelGood.it and the ability for agents to search a round trip fare that is constructed by two one ways combining published and low cost this is not only a time saving feature but in reality is a new fare the travel agent will be providing because in 99% of the cases a travel agent would never search for this fare. With Airlines changing their pricing structure to compete with low cost, a roundtrip fare is made up of two one ways and this provides not only less expensive options but better schedules and choice for consumers’ said John Hazlewood CEO of TravelStoreMaker.com.
The CEO of Ventura, Davide Rosi, shares his optimism about this partnership and believes it will optimize the travel market in Italy and will contribute to providing more quality services for the end customer as well as a substantial competitive lever for the travel agencies in the web channel.
