VERTICAL GROUP TAKES TO THE STAND AT THE WTM

The Vertical Group, the travel industry’s first one-stop-shop for technology, will be showcasing several innovative new products at this year’s World Travel Market, along with exhibiting its broad and comprehensive range of technology solutions.

New additions to the Vertical Group’s product range include advanced versions of bloofish the provider of the most up-to-date, cost effective, tour operations system in the market today; Call-link, which offers the very latest in broadband, data and voice communications solutions to the travel industry; Magic Desktop, the industry’s most effective portal and selling system and TARSC, the well-established back-office system.

The latest bloofish innovation Vservices is the first tour-operation ‘book online’ web service provider and is the only online travel agency integrated web service in the UK.

Call-link’s latest technological advancement, Magic Mailer, enables travel agents to send text messages to their customers alerting them to specific holiday destinations at specific prices and even informing customers of when tickets are ready
or payments are due. Agents can send single messages or up to 8,000 messages simultaneously.

Visitors to stand TT1180 will also be able to see first-hand the group’s new Electronic Display Board (ESP). The large electronic wall mounted screen displays continuous, live sales information and can provide percentage differences between targets and sales achieved.

Also launched at WTM, is Magic Desktop Pro-Sell, the very latest in travel sales aids, for instant access to virtually all tour operators’ late and forward availability of holidays and flights.

The Vertical Group’s new agency management system, TARSC V8 enables agents to interrogate sales, bookings and other business data to greater levels of detail or to reformat and integrate data into third party databases. The enhanced speed of the new system allows greater productivity gain.

bloofish – the group’s full tour operation and booking management system provides audit history of every record including actions taken by each user. bloofish will be demonstrating how tour operators can benefit from web- enabled, cutting edge technology at a highly competitive price.

Call-link – the leading telecommunications supplier of innovative data, voice and homeworking solutions. It has been at the forefront of driving down the cost of product distribution via Viewdata for tour operators.

Magic Desktop – offers a number of web-enabled selling tools, including access to appropriate brochure pages for information display and emailing to client if required. Magic Desktop will be demonstrating how it can greatly improve customer service levels and productivity, leading to increased sales.

TARSC – one of the largest providers of systems to the UK travel industry, supply’s integrated accounts suites specially designed to service the travel industry regardless of type or size.

IAB – the group’s e-commerce division provides web design, online search tools and e-brochures.

The Vertical Group works in partnership with a vast range of travel clients including tour operators, small independent agents, homeworkers and multi-site agents with more than 100 branches.

The Vertical Group will also be playing host to The Freedom Travel Group at this year’s WTM. The Freedom Travel Group, is one of the fastest growing travel consortia in the UK and will be available to meet with agents to discuss how it can reduce their overheads and increase profits.
