Royal Caribbean International’s Vicki Freed has been named chair of the CLIA Trade Relations Committee.
Freed, who is vice president of sales, trade support and service for Royal Caribbean, replaced Ken Muscat who left the committee last year.
Muscat is now CEO of China’s SeaSky Cruise Line.
Freed will oversee trade relations strategy for the association.
The committee comprises senior leaders in sales and marketing from CLIA’s member cruise lines.
"Vicki Freed wrote the book on trade engagement in the cruise industry and we are thrilled to have her leading our Trade Relations Committee,’ said Charles Sylvia, vice president of membership and trade relations.
"Vicki is recognized as a strong supporter of travel agencies and agents, and serving as TRC chair will elevate her ability to champion for the trade at the industry level."
At Royal Caribbean Freed leads the sales teams and manages the trade support and service department.
She also spent numerous years at Carnival Cruise Line where she was long serving senior vice president of sales and marketing.
