Vietnam Airlines launching San Francisco flights in October
Vietnam Airlines says it is committed to launching its first flights to the US in late October. It lplans to fly Boeing 787 Dreamliners or Airbus A350 jets on its Ho Chi Minh City to San Francisco route.
The route will include a refueling stop, and it hopes cargo revenues on the route will offset low initial passenger demand, said Chief Executive Le Hong Ha. VN’s International network has been severely impacted by Covid travel restrictions although it has been operating some charter services from the US to repatriate Vietnamese citizens.
