Vietnam Airlines selling off aircraft
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines is accelerating its fleet modernisation, with the sale of 15 planes this month. It will sell 12 more over the next two years, CEO Le Hong Ha told a shareholder AGM.
It is selling nine A321s and six ATR-72s in December. An additional 12 A321s will also be sold. It currently has 106 aircraft, which is still some way surplus to short-term needs. The plan is aimed at reducing the number of aircraft as well as their average age, he said.
