Virgin America’s latest in-flight content partnership will be music to the ears of flyers.
The airline is offering customers music streaming service Spotify at 35,000 feet.
The entire Spotify catalog of about 30 million songs will be available and new users can opt for a Premium 30-day trial by signing up onboard.
"Spotify users can now pump your favorite tunes for free, at 35,000 feet through March 2, 2016 with ViaSat," a Virgin statement said.
"Our newest flights sporting ViaSat in-flight Internet now have enhanced, high quality music streaming onboard, so you’ll never miss a beat."
This is Spotify’s first partnership with a US airline and follows Virgin America’s recent tie-up with Netflix to stream film and TV content.
The airline also announced a content deal with The New York Times offering flyers limited access to news.
"Virgin America has always been about providing guests with the largest breadth of entertainment and more control over their in-flight experience," said Abby Lunardini, Virgin America’s vice president of brand marketing and communications.
