Virgin Atlantic has appointed Kerry Douglas to the position of head of corporate sales.

Previously head of specialist and regional sales, Douglas will continue to report into general manager of sales, Scott Davies, in her new role and will be responsible for sales strategy across the corporate sector.

“The corporate market is a key focus for Virgin Atlantic and this year we will see a whole host of developments which will benefit the business traveller,” she said.

“We are taking delivery of our new 787s which all fully connected with on board wifi, a new Clubhouse opens in Los Angeles and our network expands with new routes between London Heathrow and Detroit and Manchester and Atlanta. I am thrilled to be taking up this new role at such an exciting time for the airline.”

Davies said: “Kerry’s experience across local and global corporate account management along with her excellent commercial and people leadership skills will be great assets as we look to further increase our penetration in this critical segment. Kerry will work closely with our partners at Delta to maximise our performance across the joint venture.”

Douglas joined Virgin Atlantic in 1998 and moved to the sales team in 2000. In 2013 she was promoted to head of specialist and regional sales.
