Wednesday, 03 Apr, 2006 0

A reciprocal code share deal between Virgin Atlantic and Air China has been sealed as the UK carrier seeks to make further inroads into China.

The deal from July 1 will enable Virgin passengers to purchase flights between Heathrow and Beijing using Air China to compliment Virgin’s daily service to Shanghai. Tickets go on sale on April 15.

Air China increases frequency on the London-Beijing route from five to seven flights a week from April 16.

Virgin Atlantic commercial directpr Willy Boulter said: “We look forward to welcoming more passengers on board this year and further expansion in China in the future.”
