Virgin offers free flight for BA employee who ‘had a bad day’
The British Airways employee who mistakenly promoted Virgin Atlantic on the BA Facebook page has been offered a free flight on Richard Branson’s airline.
A member of BA’s social media team accidentally shared a Facebook post by Virgin, which read: "There’s never been a better time to visit London. Book today with Virgin Atlantic."
The post received several likes and comments from members of the public, as well as a comment by Virgin itself, before BA removed the post.
Virgin’s press officer Anna Catchpole posted: "Thanks British Airways! So kind of you to share! #onethingweagreeon."
Later, Virgin said: "As the individual must have had a bad day, we’d be happy to offer them a free flight to make up for it."
