Virgin to relaunch website

Sunday, 11 Feb, 2004 0

Virgin Atlantic is relaunching its website this summer in a bid to boost direct sales. The carrier has enlisted the help of technology solutions provider, Conchango, which won the pitch to redesign the site. The company has also worked on sites for Tesco, Marks and Spencer and Lloyds of London. The new look site is designed to boost customer loyalty and allow customers to be more self-sufficient when booking online. It should be ready to relaunch in July. Virgin has also been trying hard to boost booking through the trade and will introduce a new commission scheme in May. Virgin Atlantic general manager sales, Paul Wait told TravelMole that he hopes it will lead to more switch selling. Report by Ginny McGrath
