Indian airlines Vistara and AirAsia India will now allow passengers to use gender-neutral titles on bookings. The airlines will use the gender-neutral term ‘Mx’ in their booking systems to denote non-binary or trans.
The introduction was sparked by a petition signed by thousands organised by the group ‘YesWeExist’.The two Tata-controlled airlines are the first to offer gender-neutral designation but others are expected to follow.
