Walt Disney World shuts down park reservations ahead of hurricane

Walt Disney World has halted reservations for the middle of this week as Florida races for another big storm.
Tropical Storm Milton is intensifying and moving.
In response WDW has blocked park reservations for Wednesday, October 9.
The storm is expected to make landfall on Wednesday.
By then, Milton is expected to strengthen in to a major hurricane.
The storm currently has sustained winds of 65 mph and moving slowly.
It could become a major Category 3 or higher hurricane by the time it makes landfall.
Disney blocked theme park reservations for Wednesday as the hurricane’s rack could bring severe rain, winds and flooding to central Florida.
Guests with existing reservations for this date are urged to check the My Disney Experience app for updates.
A state of emergency is in place for several counties in Florida, including Orange and Osceola counties, the nearest to Walt Disney World.
