Did you know that Santa Claus lived in Lapland, Northern Finland?
In the Northern winter his beautiful home is surrounded by snow and his workshop becomes very busy making all the Christmas gifts for children around the world, but he still makes time for the people who come all the way to Finland to meet him.
According to old Finnish tradition his home is in a secret location on a large mountain called Korvatunturi, which in English means Ear Mountain and it allows the elves to hear all the naughty and nice things that little children say throughout the world.
Officially Santa and his helpers work in the Santa Village and workshop in Rovaniemi, Arctic Circle where tourists are welcome to visit anytime of the year and you can even visit his post office where children from around the world write to him.
