With Joe Biden in the Oval Office, the travel industry can expect some fundamental changes starting from next year. The so-called Muslim ban will likely be scrapped straight away, which should improve the nation’s standing as a welcoming destination.
Biden has promised a major infrastructure investment program with Amtrak likely the biggest beneficiary. However, with climate change reduction a key election promise, there will be pressure on airlines to become net-zero emitters by 2050.
