Wildfire impacts Holland America Line Alaska resort
Holland America Line’s Alaska cruise tours is being disrupted by wildfires.
HAL’s McKinley Chalet Resort has been experiencing outages from the Riley fire which has closed the Denali National Park entrance.
The cruise line there could be some revisions to guests’ Alaska cruise tours over the coming days.
“There is no threat to the safety of our guests, team members or the property itself, and we are working to keep guests as comfortable as possible,’ the cruise line posted on X.
“As local authorities work to restore power to the area, we are notifying guests who are currently on cruise-tours.”
Guests will be informed of any changes.
The National Park Service said the fire is still active near the park entrance. Nearby public facilities and park trails are closed.
The transit bus service is also canceled until at least Wednesday.
