IAG group chief executive Willie Walsh will deliver the keynote address at ABTA’s Travel Matters conference, which takes place the day before the EU referendum.
He will join other speakers at the one-day event to discuss the potential impact of Britain leaving the EU along with the state of the travel industry, airport expansion, air passenger tax and consumer confidence.
Former foreign secretary and defence secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind will speak on the current state of global affairs.
Other confirmed speakers are Virgin Holidays managing director Mark Anderson, TUI UK & Ireland customer operations director Fraser Ellacott, Saga tour operating division managing director Jeannette Linfoot, Silversea Cruises commercial director Lisa McAuley, InterContinental Hotels European chief operating officer Stephen McCall, Knock Travel owner Doreen McKenzie, Deloitte travel, hospitality and leisure lead partner Graham Pickett, VisitBritain strategy and communications director Patricia Yates and ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer.
The event to be held in London will be moderated by BBC News presenter Reeta Chakrabarti. The theme this year will be ‘confidence in a changing world’.
