With trans-Tasman bubble grounded, Kiwis head to Cook Islands
With the trans-Tasman travel bubble with Australia on hold, Kiwis are now flocking to the Cook Islands.
Travel agents are warning that accommodation in the Pacific island nation is ‘filling up fast.’ The Cooks’ capacity of 8,000 rooms is almost booked out for the October school holidays.
Since the Australia lockdowns saw the travel bubble postponed indefinitely, The Cook Islands is now the only option for New Zealanders to travel overseas on holiday.
