Wizz Air is already planning to extend charges on large cabin baggage across its network as the trial is well received.
The low cost airline claims 10% of passengers on the trial Luton to Poland route have already bought large baggage allowance online for 10 euros with a few others paying the higher fee at the airport.
It says that during the month-long trial, which started on 1 August, there have been no delays and more passengers are opting to travel light with free small cabin baggage of 42cm x 32cm x 25cm or less, see previous story.
"In light of the positive feedback we have received in the first days of the trial, we have already begun to consider the full rollout of this new policy across our network," said Daniel De Carvalho, corporate communications manager, Wizz Air.
