Wizz Air has scaled back growth in the UK following the Brexit vote but says it remains committed to the market.
The Eastern European airline, which celebrates carrying 30 million passengers on its UK routes today, had planned to grow its UK capacity by 30% but has reduced this to 15% over fears about the impact of the vote to leave the European Union.
Chief corporate officer Owain Jones said it has introduced all the new UK routes it had initially planned, but had not increased frequencies on existing routes by as much as anticipated.
As part of the expansion, new services connecting London Luton with Suceava, capital of Bucovina region in Romania, start on Friday and flights between Sofia in Bulgaria and Doncaster launch on December 23.
The airline celebrated its 30 millionth passenger by launching a one-day sale, offering 20% off all flights to and from the UK on Tuesday.
"Our route network from the UK continues to develop reflecting the demands of our customers who want a wide choice of destinations to give them the opportunity to visit different destinations and enjoy new experience further off the beaten track," said Jones.
"The UK remains a very core part of our business."
Wizz Air took delivery of its first A321 aircraft in November 2015 and will take more than 20 more through 2018.
