Woman charged over Jet2 diversion escorted by RAF jets
A woman has been charged with assault and reckless behaviour on a Jet2 flight which had to be escorted back to Stansted by two RAF jets.
Chloe Haines, 26, of Station Road in Loudwater, High Wycombe, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 29 October.
She has been charged with one count of assault and one count of recklessly or negligently acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft or persons inside.
The charges relate to an incident on June 22 when a Jet2 flight was bound for Dalman had to turn back to Stansted Airport.
Thee RAF jets created a sonic boom which prompted 202 phone calls to police from across the county.
