Woman jailed for airport assault
A woman has been jailed for assaulting three TSA agents last year.
Ma’Kiah Cherae Coleman, 20, was jailed for four months and three years’ supervised release.
She attacked the TSA officers because they confiscated her apple juice.
The incident happened at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport last year, which temporarily closed the screening machine.
She pleaded guilty to assault on a federal officer resulting in bodily injury.
Prosecutors said Coleman grabbed an officer by the hair, ‘forcing the officer’s head down against a table before punching the officer in the head several times.
She also allegedly elbowed another officer and fought with a third.
Coleman is also banned from taking a commercial flight for the next three years.
