Keith Prowse Australia today announced its appointment as an official travel agent of the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Rugby Travel and Hospitality ’07 Ltd., with the authorisation of the International Rugby Board (IRB) and Rugby World Cup Ltd., select official travel agents throughout the world to be the only organisations authorised to sell tickets to the World Cup. As one such agent, Keith Prowse will be able to offer travel packages, complete with official match tickets, to its clients.

More than 2.2 million spectators are expected to attend the Rugby World Cup in France during September and October 2007 in addition to the several billion more who will watch on television. Though travel packages will not be on sale until 1st January 2006, fans across the world are already making their plans to the 20-team tournament. Keith Prowse has several travel options prepared for Australian fans to support the Wallabies at every match.

From all-inclusive tours to packages tailored to suit the independent traveller, Keith Prowse travel arrangements are designed with the rugby fan in mind. Clients will be able to choose from a range of 14- to 28-day tours including tickets to Wallaby and final matches, air travel, accommodation, breakfasts, coach touring and sightseeing excursions. To enhance the World Cup experience, fans will also be escorted by well known rugby personalities in addition to knowledgeable local tour guides.

Chris ‘Buddha’ Handy, rugby commentator and former Wallaby, has been involved in rugby touring since 1987, and is the Keith Prowse ‘Ambassador’to the Rugby World Cup 2007 in France.

“Travelling as a group with an inclusive itinerary, is definitely the way to go,” says Handy. “Take an Aussie rugby host and a group of like-minded rugby enthusiasts – add some good food and wine, a bi-lingual guide to explain the rich history and tradition which makes France unique and, of course, excellent rugby – and you have the recipe for a great tour. So you can forget the hassles, relax and just enjoy the Rugby 2007 experience.”

Keith Prowse has been one of the world’s largest independent ticket providers for more than 200 years and now has offices in more than 30 countries. Keith Prowse has also been arranging travel for rugby fans since the first Rugby World Cup in 1987. Interested in providing the highest quality experience for rugby fans, Keith Prowse also offers travel packages to events such as the Hong Kong Sevens, Bledisloe Cup, Tri Nations, and various test matches throughout the world.
