The U.S. Travel Association has named Wyndham Hotel Group CEO Geoff Ballotti as new chair.
He succeeds Travel Oregon CEO Todd Davidson after being elected in a member vote, and led his first board meeting last week.
"We are thrilled to welcome Geoff as our new chair. His experience and expertise will help us continue to elevate our message to the highest levels of government leadership and advocate for policies that keep America an attractive, welcoming destination," said roger Dow, CEO of US Travel.
As chair, Ballotti’s role will be to guide policy in efforts to increase inbound travel to the US, and highlight the economic benefits of the travel industry.
This includes ensuring the message gets through to consumers and policymakers that the US remains ‘open for business.’
"Together we’ll continue to drive an agenda that supports connectivity — not isolationism — and encourages safe and secure travel to and throughout the United States," Ballotti said.
